2nd Annual Yacht Hop Huge Success

St. Joseph's/Candler Leukemia Cup Regatta's 2nd Annual "Yacht Hop" event was once again a wet, yet wonderful, evening. Attended by over 220 people Saturday evening, June 25, from 5-9 p.m. at Savannah Yacht Club, the Yacht Hop featured a cooling rain shower and a great time. For a mere $50 per person (all going to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society) you
enjoyed special finger foods and hors de oeuvres from a dozen of the finest restaurants in the area while at the same time having an opportunity to tour 12 unique and beautiful local yachts.

The restaurants, Basil's, Cha Bella, CoCo's, Crab Shack, Driftaway Cafe, Ele's, K-Bella, Leoci's, Lady and Son's, North Beach Grill, Papa's, and the Pirate's House outdid themselves. The food was fabulous, while the yachts, yacht owners and captains were gracious and inviting hosts. What an evening!

The Yacht Hop honors John "Pop" McIntosh, a lifelong sailor and sailing coach who helped found the Savannah Leukemia Cup Regatta. St. Joseph's/Candler, our title sponsor for the Leukemia Cup Regatta weekend of events along with the
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society are very thankful for the hard work and efforts of the Yacht Hop Committee, their many volunteers, our title sponsors, and, of course, the yacht and restaurant owners. Thanks for making this year's Yacht Hop possible.

If you didn't make it out this year, be on the lookout for next year's date; you won't want to miss it! Fantastic food, drink, and boats. Is this heaven or what?
